Thank you for your interest in connecting with USC Rossier students and alumni!

USC Rossier is committed to advancing educational equity and outcomes by educating leaders in education across segments.  We look forward to partnerships with employers where are students and alumni come from—the greater Los Angeles community, throughout California, across the nation, and around the globe.  Here are some ways you can partner with the USC Rossier School of Education and connect you with Rossier students and alumni:

  • Annual K-12 Career Fair – Participate in our annual K-12 Career Fair held each spring. More information is available here.
  • Job Postings – Throughout the year, employers can post job opportunities through connectRossier, USC Rossier’s online career management system. When posting your positions on connectRossier you have the option of targeting Rossier students, as well as promoting your opportunity to the larger USC student and alumni population.
  • Student TeachersSupervised field experiences are an integral part of most MAT courses. From the beginning of the program, students are placed in local classrooms to learn practical applications of theories and instructional methods from experienced teachers. Student teaching is two 15-week semesters, for a total of 30 weeks.  If you are interested in hosting students please contact Debra Solórzano-Madrid, Assistant Director of Fieldwork for the Master of Arts in Teaching Program (debrasm@rossier.usc.edu).
  • Hiring for School Leadership PositionsIn addition to your teacher needs, please consider USC Rossier students and alumni for your administrative and leadership openings.  Our EdD Program in Educational Leadership provides employers with a strong pool of qualified candidates.  We can assist you with posting these positions on connectRossier, as well as advertising them via targeted announcements within the USC Rossier community.
  • MFT Practicum Experience – MFT students must complete 240 direct client contact hours, beginning in year 2 of their program, which allows students to apply their therapy skills with individuals, couples, families, and groups. Therapy is conducted in an approved agency setting that meets the requirements set forth by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. The agency needs to be an exempt setting, which includes a governmental entity, a school, a college, a university, or an institution that is both nonprofit and charitable. Students are supervised by one or more of the following: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, Licensed Educational Psychologist, or Board-Certified Psychiatrist. Students receive one hour of individual or triadic supervision and two hours of group supervision weekly. Students must also audio or video record sessions with clients to share in their practicum class. If you are interested in becoming an approved site, please contact Meredith Benton, Assistant Director of the Master’s Program Office, at bentonme@rossier.usc.edu.
